Nossa Senhora do Monte School thanks Friends of Brava Schools for donation of uniforms

The management of the Escola Básica de Nossa Senhora do Monte publicly thanked the association "Amigos das Escolas da Brava" for sponsoring the new school uniforms, which were made available to the students at a symbolic price.

According to the note shared by the school, the gesture of solidarity has made access to uniforms easier and more affordable for all families. "It is with immense satisfaction and a spirit of gratitude that we thank you for your generous sponsorship of the school uniforms for our students," reads the publication.

The board also highlighted the essential role of the Cape Verdean community in the diaspora, especially the Bravenses living in the United States, for their continued support of education on the island. "It was a good investment, which we will continue to support in one way or another. Friends of the Brava Schools are to be congratulated," said Eligio Burgo.

Thanks were also extended to the seamstress, Doss Custureiro, responsible for making the uniforms, acknowledging the "beautiful work" done.
